I pulled into Nazareth...
Actually, I never left Nazareth, except for a short drive to the airport, where I was informed that not only was my first flight delayed, but my second flight was oversold. At that point, I bowed to the inevitable and changed my destination from Rochester to a local Chinese restaurant. When life gives you lemons, eat General Tso's chicken. A little fatter, a little sadder, I drift home rather than beat on against the current.

Stay tuned: On Monday's episode of Travles with Charnel, I'll try to go to Milwaukee.

Unreal. These traveling nightmares are growing and growing. Yes. General Tso's chicken. What else can you do? (besides burst a blood vessel?)

You may very well have the worst travel karma I've ever seen. And considering that you once came to Michigan at a moment's notice to pinch-hit for a friend and present at our annual library conference, I really don't understand it. I would think it would go in the other direction and you would have flight attendants gleefully upgrading your tickets. Sorry to hear about the latest travel travails...

I did manage to get to Grand Rapids last month without too much trauma, so maybe I get an exemption for Michigan.

You are too kind. Thanks for the good vibes. In truth, the worst of my travel traumas is nothing compared to the stuff many people suffer on a daily basis. I'm pretty fortunate, all in all.

I'm speechless. Almost. I do have to ask whether, since he was demoted from sainthood by the Vatican, he should now be called Mr. Christopher? On anothernote, I never realized what an ugly baby I'd make.
