Urgent need for help
I'm starting work on a new book. This means the normally available methods of procrastination are inadequate. I'm running out of ways to avoid getting started. I'd appreciate it if all of you would try to blog a couple extra entries this week. Any topic would be fine. If you made toast this morning, I want to hear all about it. Links are great. Especially links to quizzes. Comments here would be dandy, too. I'd definitely enjoy comments that require a reply on my part. Come on -- if you all pitch in, I have a shot at making this entire week totally unproductive. (Not counting my awesome success in Crackdown now that I've got my hands on a rocket launcher.)

Ha! Blogs shmogs. Go get Braid for fifteen bucks and you can kiss the rest of the month goodbye and a good part of July to boot.

I'm waiting until after you write a walkthrough of it.

Heee!
I've found searching for 70's kid TV shows on youtube to be a great way to blow six hours or so... my kids even egg me on.

Nice idea. I should see if Captain Scarlet was as creepy as I remember.

Liz is right. YouTube is a great time-waster. My hubby and I watched outtakes with Tim Conway and Carol Burnett one night - not only ate up time, but we almost fell off our chairs laughing.

You can use your procrastination for good!

I am sure Frank would welcome an email or call. It is a tough transition.
As the article says he is going to continue to review books for teachers on his website which will turn to a blog!

Good to know. It's sad to think he's closing.

It is sad, but I think it will be interesting to read his reviews!
Another new chapter, I suppose.

(He is still planning on organizing some events for teachers too!)

Procrastination (add the little trademark symbol because I invented procrastination...I claim it so it's mine. Please, don't argue.)

Blogging. Huge procrastination. I Twitter, LJ, FB, Blogger and MySpace.

Checking Amazon/B-N rankings on my books. Then re-checking in case someone bought a book. (Eternal hope lives!)

You-Tube! Check out the book promotion I did with 8 other authors -- using hand-puppets!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQcIvAz59fI

Then search for other book trailers and watch them, too. If that failures, click on my "favorite" file and watch cats do funny things or watch Dr. Horrible again.

This should keep you busy for, oh, about 30 minutes. Then check back with me. I have a lot more procrastinators.

How about writing a seperate book, completely different from the one you're supposed to write? It could keep you occupied for months ;)

I'm pretty busy sabotaging my own writing, I don't think I have time to screw up yours too.

Starting work on a new book? Sounds like the perfect time for you to make your own smoked sausage from scratch. You've already done bacon, so I'm thinking home-made sausages would be a nice addition to your repertoire.

I've actually got a plan underway for that. My daughter's boyfriends, the chef, has started making sausage. I'm going to smoke them.

By the way, my wife and I were walking in Bethlehem the other day, and had to take a detour around a closed sidewalk. We stumbled across the future home of Victory's Bethlehem brewpub.

Can you tell me you favorite games that can be played on a PS2? I think that's what Teen has.

I have several PS2 favorites -- Ratchet and Clank (all 3), Jak II, Burnout Dominator, and Summoner 2. Crackdown is for XBox 360.

I'd suggest starting to plan out your NEXT book. That could easily distract and deflect you from this one for...well, as long as you'd like, really.
